Trauma-informed, relational psychotherapy for adults in Vermont

IMG_3415.jpg

Welcome. My name is Emma Sheldon, and I offer licensed mental health counseling services for adults seeking support with trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in evidence-based psychotherapy practices that support nervous system regulation, emotional awareness, and internal clarity.

My Therapeutic Approach

My work is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based therapy, and somatic awareness within a psychotherapy framework. I support clients in developing greater understanding of their internal experiences, emotional patterns, and protective responses shaped by past relationships and life events.

Therapy is collaborative and paced with care, with attention to safety, consent, and nervous system regulation. The focus is on building insight, emotional resilience, and capacity for more grounded and authentic connection.

Focus Areas

  • Trauma and complex trauma
